Job Context
Under the guidance and supervision of ERT Financial Controller, the Consultant-Finance Officer is responsible for day-to-day financial transaction, data processing while keeping in line with IRC policies, procedures. This position also requires close working relationship with Programs, Admin, Human resource and Logistics units.
Job Description / Responsibility
• Implement financial policies and procedures and verify cash payments in coordination with the finance controller
• Process cash/check payment request including preparation and releasing of check to vendors and employees.
• Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable system in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all moneys.
• Ensures all financial transactions are reasonable, appropriate, and necessary. Making sure all the Data entries are included in the spreadsheets in all currencies with correct account & T codes.
• Processing and finalizing the monthly transaction spreadsheets for onward posting to accounting Sun System by making sure all Journal vouchers are entered into the Sun System
• Preparation of Trial balance reconciliation of accounts on a monthly & quarterly basis by Identifying differences and wrong charging in addition to following up on the related adjusted entries.
• Conduct regular financial assessment of sub-grants to NGO partners.

• At least 4 year(s)

• Minimum of 4-5 years in an Accounting /Finance position preferably in an NGO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from recognized College/Institution
• Computer literate with significant experience in excel, accounting package knowledge: preferably sun accounting system.
• Willing to be based in Cox’s Bazar
