Finance & Administration Manager – Dhaka – Abt Associates

Job Description / Responsibility
• Abt Associates, a major American business and government research, technical assistance, and consulting company, seeks qualified candidates for the above open position at the Health Finance & Governance Project Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
• Provides leadership and direction, and carries out the majority of the financial, management, and administrative support functions of the project’s local office. Develops and tracks budgets; manages payroll and vendor relations; administers contracts, subcontracts, procurement, office equipment/supplies; and manages financial transactions and reporting, both for the client and for Abt Associates headquarters. Will operate in close coordination with Abt Associates’ headquarters staff.

Educational Requirements
Degree in Commerce or Accounting strongly preferred.

Experience Requirements
• At least 4 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required; 5 to 7 years preferred OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience in preparing and filing Bangladesh payroll tax filings, VAT filings and vendor withholding tax filings. The individual should also have experience in preparing audited financial statements.
• Experience in contracts management at large-scale development programs, experience with USAID-funded projects, and a thorough knowledge of US Government contract procedures is highly desirable.
• English language fluency required.
