Job Context
Location: Field based (Ukhiya/Cox`s Bazar Sadar)
Reports to: Head of Humanitarian
Nature of Job: Full time (One Year starting February 2021)
Level: Mid level position
Working Conditions:
Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some overtime hours to attend meetings such as the Annual Audit.
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Have to follow ICCO HR, Admin and Finance related policy.
Key contacts: Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Expert Training Officer, Finance and Admin Officer.

Job Responsibilities
The Market Development & Private Sector Engagement Officer (Solid Waste) is expected to work closely with the Program Manager and other team members on strengthening the market systems around the upcycle products.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the team around program strategy and implementation
Work on the marketing strategy for upcycled products out of plastic, aluminum and other solid waste.
Support ICCO in further strengthening its market and private sector engagement work
Report writing/working on the presentation
Coordinating with donors and other key stakeholders
Responsibilities may vary according to project priorities.

Educational Requirements
Masters/Bachelors in Business Management or related field
Experience Requirements
At least 3 year(s)

Additional Requirements
At least 3 years professional experience of working in areas around market, market systems and private sector engagement
Experience of working on marketing of solid waste or any other rural to urban products
Good understanding of the Rohingyas crisis and working with the Rohngyas (optional)
A very high quality written and presentation skills in English
Motivation and commitment to humanitarian ideals and values of ICCO Cooperation. Interest in involvement beyond the job assigned, i.e. active involvement in the ethos of ICCO itself.
Energy and stamina to withstand long working hours in often stressful conditions.
Ability to work in a fluid situation, and adapt or change priorities according to changing situations.
Ability to capitalize on past experience, existing networks and information existing (both internal and external to ICCO) in order to become self-sufficient quickly
Ability to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work
