Marketing & Communication Manager – The Westin Dhaka

Job Description / Responsibility
Assisting in handling contact with all media including creation and execution of a year round media plan.
Responsible for advertising and recording the Starwood media impression target for Hotel.
Build excellent relationships with local media base.
Plan and develop promotional and communications strategies via all distribution channels including internet (SW and non-SW), GDS, media, placement of advertising as directed, printed materials and other sales & promotional tools as directed.
Work closely with the Revenue Manager & DOSM to ensure all Starwood programs and systems are fully maximized.
Ensure Guest communications is utilized, with an effective plan to fit the hotel business needs and strategies.
Demonstrate effective selling techniques in promoting Starwood products & services through public relations activities.
Ensure files, correspondence and other relevant business documentation is maintained.
Ensure all product information is correct in all forms of communication such as internet, media, Starlink, printed material.
Be the brand ambassador of the hotel, ensure all materials comply with the brand standards and all creative follows the brand direction.
Assisting with the preparation and planning of the Annual Operation Plan, Department Objectives and other costs related to the Annual Budget.
Ensure the annual Marketing plan is strategic and measurable and is able to be adjusted along with the business needs.
Uphold the Starwood Cares culture by demonstrating the Star Service Standards at all times to guests and fellow associates.
Provide support as required to the DOSM.
Respond to client queries within 24 hours of initial contact.
Co-ordinate and control the photo library
Writing speeches as required for Hotel Management
Compilation of award submission documents
Continually issue media releases
Writing and proofing relevant hotel collateral, in room material and promotional material, including web sites, ensuring they meet worldwide brand standards
Creating, secure and manage special customer events for the Hotel
Source and manage sponsorship opportunities / events for the Hotel
Custodian of brand standard. Achieve LRA goals
Ensure the Social Media and Public Relations strategy is in line with that of brand and is effectively targeting the demographics of the hotel guest.

Minimum Graduation.
Proven media relation experience
