Executive Assistant – Bangladesh Midwifery Society – Dhaka

Job Context
The BMS is currently recruiting for a part time Executive Assistant to assist the national executive committee members and the society in the smooth running of its operations. During the initial phase of strengthening the society in line with the identified organizational strengthening priorities, the tasks will primarily consist of administrative, representative and membership related activities.

Job Description / Responsibility
• Support to the National Executive Committee in day to day follow-up of the annual work plan and execution of the strategic plan 2017-2020. This includes: Follow-up and updates against the workplan, and communication of these updates to the executive committee at defined frequency; follow up with each executive member on progress made and inform the President and Secretary on a regular basis; Supporting detailed action planning with the executive members, and Attending meetings of the BMS executive committee.
• Administrative tasks: Ensure functionality of the BMS office; Provide logistics and administrative support to BMS meetings and events; Input into the development and update of the membership system, and timely follow-up of membership fees; Managing and maintaining records and documentation; and Maintaining BMS office as a resource centre.
• Communication and representation roles: Support in consolidation, drafting and submission of donor and project reports and the 6-monthly newsletter; Update BMS website and Facebook; Facilitate communication between committee members, BMS members – including Divisional committees, and other stakeholders; and Represent BMS in public functions as required..
• Continued professional development: The Executive Assistant will participate in relevant training sessions and workshops conducted by BMS and other stakeholders.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bangla
• Report writing experience
• Budgeting experience/skills
• Microsoft Office competency
• Ability to update BMS website and Facebook
• Good organizational and time management skills
