• MISSION:
• Design high quality education projects in consideration of the organizational goal and provide technical support which reinforces team capacity to achieve the set milestone within specific timeframe and allocated budget.
• The position will provide technical guidance to implement and monitor Quality Primary Education Programs and Pre Primary & ECD by ensuring a comprehensive support for quality monitoring and capacity building of the education team.
• PURPOSE
• Education Specialist (Quality) will be responsible for overall technical support and mentoring the education team of Educo to ensure quality primary education , proper development of the pre primary and ECD
• S/he will prepare guideline for ensuring community engagement for sustainability of the school activities.
• ENGAGEMENT
• Education Specialist (Quality) will initiate, develop and nurture cordial relations with relevant government bodies, partners, and the wider stakeholder and represent Educo at relevant education related events/forum to ensure Educo is acknowledged as a trustworthy partner/actor.
• DELIVERY
• Education Specialist (Quality) will set the indicator to strengthen the community engagement so that they are enabling to ensure child friendly school.
• Strengthen the capacity of School Management Committee (SMC), Parents Committee and other community stakeholders.
• Develop the capacity and develop advocacy strategies in the area of ECD and quality education to influence policies and legislation.
Job Description / Responsibility
• PLANNING & BUDGETING:
• Prepare annual Project plan and budget in cost effective manner.
• Develop a comprehensive annual plan and guide for timely execution (physical and financial).
• Provide support to Resource Mobilization team in preparing concept note, budget and planning for the donors.
• MANAGE AND LEAD QUALITY EDUCATION PROGRAM IN PRIMARY INCLUDING PRE-PRIMARY.
• In consultation with education team, assess current implementation protocol and identify the area to be improved.
• Outline the competencies required for the teachers of all grade and project staff.
• Develop guideline for safe school and orient team accordingly.
• Facilitate to set class wise competencies from pre-primary to grade five.
• Introduce learner’s assessment system in line with competency prescribed by education department of Govt.
• Design and implement competency based monitoring system in accordance with result based approach.
• CAPACITY BUILDING OF THE TEAM AND OTHER RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS
• Introducing TNA system for teachers and staff and bench mark capacity of individuals.
• Assist the training team to review and develop competency based training curricula and materials.
• Develop annual training plan; basic and refreshers.
• Facilitate training team to conduct training and orientation.
• Coach and Mentor staff.
• Carry out monitoring through visiting interventions and update team on the observations.
• Facilitate team to formulate ‘resource pool’ consists of teachers.
• Build capacity of Project Officers-Education and facilitate them to promote appropriate teaching learning methods & materials in all Educo Schools
• MANAGE AND LEAD AN EFFECTIVE ECD (EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT) INTERVENTION
• Development of ECD implementation protocol and adapt existing curricula.
• Review and update parenting module and materials.
• Facilitate Training Team to develop ECD Training Manual and Materials.
• Build capacity of team members to conduct training of teachers/volunteer mothers.
• Introduce a participatory monitoring approach.
• DOCUMENTS PROGRAM LEARNING AND BEST PRACTICES FOR FEEDING INTO SCALING UP AND ADVOCACY INITIATIVES AT NATIONAL LEVEL.
• Document learning and best practice in association with education team and communication team and disseminate those to the concern stakeholders.
• Documents intervention wise case studies or other significant issues for next project preparation.
• COMMUNICATIONS
• Maintain good relation with Govt. Education Department and Upazila Resource Centre and pursue them to contribute.
• Work closely with Upazila Education Authority to enhance capacity of SMC.
• Maintain effective communication and represent the organization among different local government authorities, civil society players, likeminded organization.
• Develop presentational materials for external audience on education program.
• Represent the organization by attending external meeting/seminar /workshop and uphold the organizational profile and image.
• PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Capacitate partners to implement project’s intervention in maintaining quality.
• Provide technical support the partners on primary education and Early Childhood Development (ECD)
• Monitoring and follow up the field level interventions and guide partners to implement interventions in appropriate manner.
• Support partners to organize trainings (primary & ECD) for the teachers facilitating ToT for the team and providing necessary guidelines.
• Support partners by giving formation/ reformation and capacitate of SMC, CMC and Student Council.
• Prepare and modified budget for partner’s implemented projects and monitor the expenditure trend.
• REPORT WRITING
• Introduce a reporting mechanism from field to country office.
• Compile MIS data and prepare quarterly and annual report.
• Prepare other reports as required by the organization

• The candidate must have experience in developing education and early childhood development program with the involvement of community and local education systems.
• Working experience with primary education, pre-primary education and early childhood development program,
• Project planning& budgeting,
• Training module prepare and facilitation,
• Training assessment.
• Advance in speaking and writing both in Bangla & English language is essential.
• Knowledge on Education Policy 2010, Draft Education Act, 2013
• MS word, Excel, Power point and SPSS
• Working experience in same level in Right based organization and experience of working with Government bodies is essential.
