Job Description / Responsibility
To develop competent and compassionate Midwives to improve the maternal and neonatal health in Bangladesh the Department of Midwifery and Nursing, BRAC University has been implementing the Diploma in Midwifery education under Developing Midwives Project at seven Academic Centres in hard-to-reach underserved areas across the country since 2013. The programme is being implemented in partnership with six local NGOs with financial support from the UK Government.
Objective of the position: To impart the Diploma in Midwifery education
Job responsibilities:………………….
Teaching as per academic plan and standards including demonstration in the class and supporting the students
Assisting in designing rotational plan for student experiences
Strengthening the capacity of Preceptors and ensure their compliance with the set standards
Assisting in preparing the modular and OSCE exam questions in collaboration with Course Coordinator
Invigilating and grade assignments and tests
Assisting preceptors in managing the rotational plan for students during clinical practice
Assisting Project Coordinator and Course Coordinators in maintaining liaison with the clinical facilities (hospitals, clinics, medical colleges) to facilitate clinical training
Contributing to development of course modules and materials
Reporting to: Course Coordinator
Job location: Outside of Dhaka

Requirements
Masters in Nursing or MPH degree will be preferred Experience Requirements3 to 5 year(s) Additional Job RequirementsB.Sc Nurse or Midwife with 3-5 years of clinical experience in maternal health/obs-gynae ward
Masters in Nursing or MPH degree will be preferred
Should have, preferably, 2 years of teaching experience in midwifery/nursing
Registration with Bangladesh Nursing Council
Excellent interpersonal skills
Fairly conversant in English (speaking and writing)
Computer operational skills in word, ppt, excel etc.
Ability to work under pressure
Willing to be posted in remote areas.
