Job Description / Responsibility
• Technical assistance/ Leadership:
• Assist country management on develop strategic direction to country Education programme, by ensuring transformation of BRAC values & learning to BRAC International.
• Provide technical support and guidance to education program team to design, implement, monitor and evaluate the programs through regular telephone call, email communication and at least one visit a year to each supported country as requested and necessary.
• Help country management to design new projects/proposals and review and provide technical input on proposals
• Review and provide technical input on internal and external impact documents/reports and other documents as needed
• Program development:
• Work with country programmes to resource mobilization for fund raising and expansion of education programme of BRAC International countries aligned to country strategy and global strategy
• Work with country programs to advise and develop sector specific strategic plans.
• Contribute to the development of field staff through training, exposure visit, mentoring, and other guidance
• Work closely with other technical units and technical advisors in the countries of his/her responsibility to ensure cross-unit collaboration and program integration.
• Contribute to the development of new and innovative approaches and initiatives in the programs/projects
• Quality assurance:
• Ensure the quality of the programs being implemented by the country program heads/managers
• Ensure mechanisms are in place to measure and improve quality of programs
• Sharing best practices and transfer technical skills to the local staffs
• Ensure documentation and dissemination of lessons learned from the programs
• Issue resolutions, crisis/risk management:
• Help country team to be aware about any possible crisis or risk to the organisation of the concerned sector
• Play necessary role to resolve Funding and donor relationship problems and help country team to develop plans for contingencies
• Others:
• HR capacity building support; work with HR team to identify training needs and development opportunities of country education team
• Put contribution on resource review, data monitoring and budget modifications
• Help country team to conducting baseline, midterm and end impact study by providing necessary inputs
• Contribute to develop training materials & modules, business plan and other printing materials
• Develop and maintain a donors profile for all BRAC operated countries.
• Review the proposals and concept note, success rate and address reasons for failure if necessary
• Provide technical guidelines to country team to work on child protection issues; provide general guidelines and necessary feedback to all BI countries about child protection matter

• Demonstrated experience in project design and proposal development.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in the subject area
• Experience and knowledge of south based development issues
• Donor reporting, Development programmes monitoring
• Excellent English & Written skills.
• At least 15 years experience in a senior technical or management position
• Demonstrated success in sector specialism
• Experience in development sector will be preferred.
• Experience in INGO with multiple country orientation will be an added advantage.
