NOC Engineer – IGW Operators Forum

Job Description / Responsibility
• Shift duties for Configuration, Maintenance & Monitoring of IOF network infrastructures including core data com (Layer-2/3 LAN switches, LAN Connectivity), Transmission Network at CIPs, ICPs & IOXs (LAN, MUX & Optical Connectivity) etc.
• Alarm monitoring and timely escalation of issues to next level
• Issue and follow up Trouble Tickets in assistance with Back Office (BO) Engineers.
• Act as primary Interface with internal and external network stakeholders and necessary co-ordination.
• Maintain & perform timely communication with peering partners (IGW, ICX, ANS, etc.)
• Monitor network/systems, record network events and take corrective action in response to alarms and traps.
• Perform 1st level configuration changes of network and systems using standard technical methods and procedures.
• Sending new, update & corrective event notifications to concerned contacts.
• Reporting critical events to senior as per escalation guideline.
• Ensure completion of Job assigned by the senior.
• Record daily Log of new / update of events of the system.
• Any change/occurrence of critical/major event(s) of NOC related services shall be reported to the respective senior immediately.
• Generating all daily, weekly and monthly technical reports related to traffic, QoS and network availability for both international incoming and outgoing traffic required by the Executive Body of IOF & BTRC.

Educational Requirements
B. Sc in CS/ CSE/ ECE/ ETE/ EEE from a reputed university.

Experience Requirements
0 to 3 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements
• Excellent Communication Skill in English.
• Juniper/ CCNA Certification preferable.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
