Project Coordinator – Voluntary Association for Rural Development

Job Context
With support Ipas Bangladesh, Voluntary Association for Rural Development (VARD) a national non- government organization is going to recruit following position for “Improving Access to Quality Family Planning in Bangladesh (QFP) Project” funded by Ipas Bangladesh. The project is implementing in Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Mymenshing, Rangpur, Barisal, Patuakhali and Barguna district. The position is based in Sylhet district headquarters.

Job Description / Responsibility
• Reportable to Director (Program)
• Attend PNGO orientation by Ipas BD
• Attend all training, orientation relevant to the project per invitation and or instructed by Ipas
• Liaise with Ipas BD
• Coordination with both central and local govt. authorities
• Data collection of rapid community assessment
• Facilitate other project staff recruitment process
• Assist in selection of local level artistes and attending TFD training and monitoring shows
• Supervision SFs and PFs
• Conduct FW’s orientation
• Supervision, monitoring, sometimes conducting monthly follow up meeting of FWs
• Supervision, monitoring, sometimes conducting stakeholders meeting in selected CX sites
• Support capacity development of SFs and PFs
• May need to have networking with community radio activities, where applicable
• May need to have networking with other PNGOs of Ipas
• Collection of monthly reports, compilation & submission in time
• Monthly submission of TERRA
• Conduct coordination meeting with SFs, PFs,
• Accountable and responsible for overall management and accomplishment of the assigned tasks per the service agreement by Ipas
• Any other relevant issues to be addressed and or instructed by Ipas, as and when required during the project period

Educational Requirements
Masters in any discipline from any recognized university.

Experience Requirements
• 5 to 7 year(s)

Job Requirements
• 5-7 years of experience at community level programs especially health related
• Working exposure in partnership with govt. and NGOs
• At least 3 years of managerial experience of managing team in the field/community level
• Having working experience of social and behavioral change communication (SBCC) activities
