Job Description / Responsibility
• Able to deliver lecture in English;
• Kitchen Organisation and Rules, Kitchen equipments and cleaning;
• Method of Cooking;
• Preperation, theory, Demonstration and practical
• Cooking training Deshi, Continental and Chinese dishes;
• Making soup, sauce, fish, shell fish,meat vegetable etc;
• Hygiene and Safety;
• Culture & heritage of Bangladesh & other countries;
• English Communications & Social skills;
• Basic Computer knowledge;
• Food services and prepare various types of Menu and sequence planning;
• Principal of purchasing ,storage,costing and House-keeping;
• Prepare lesson plans, programs for related activities,actively involve course note & curriculam;
• Practically participate in events;
• Teach the subjects efficiently with application of good teaching methodology making the students able to work as a cook & steward on board Merchant ships;
• Teach by demonstration;
• Evaluate students assignment and written works;
• All academic responsibilities related to student`s examination, parents dealing;
• Maintain daily routine and strict discipline.
• Job location: International Maritime Academy, Pubail, Gazipur (near Ulokhola bridge).

Educational Requirements
Diploma in Hotel/catering management or NCC in the relevant field in Food & Beverage production/services and cooking from Bangladesh Porjoton Corporation or any recognised Institution;
Experience Requirements
At least 2 year(s)

• Age 23 to 40 year(s)
• Experienced in teaching in the relevant field for 2 years.
• Candidates with less experience may also apply provided able to carry out the assigned job efficiently;
