• Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world`s poorest countries. With its head quarter in Ireland, Concern has been working in Bangladesh since 1972. Concern is initiating a new project `NUTRITION INTERVENTIONS FOR CHILDREN UNDERFIVE, ADOLESCENTS; PREGNANT AND LACTATING WOMEN IN JAMTOLI, HAKIMPARA, MOINARGHONA AND BURMA PARA SETTLEMENT IN COX`S BAZAR“ for Rohingya Refugees.
• Contract Duration: The project duration is up to 18 September 2018 from the date of joining with possibility of further extension with conditions of Govt. approval. Good performing candidates will be given priority for the extended period.
Job Description / Responsibility
• The Community Mobiliser is responsible for mobilizing the target community including caregivers of children under five, adolescent girls and pregnant and lactating women in the Jamtoli, Hakimpara, Moinarghona and Burma Para Settlement in Cox’s Bazar. He/she will be responsible for counselling and referral for the targeted population which impact on the lives of the Rohingya Refugees and results in lasting positive change.
• Major areas of responsibility:
• Mobilizing targeted community to ensure that the Nutrition in Emergency Response Project activity is delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change to the lives of the beneficiaries;
• Screening at the community level among under five children to ensure that the nutrition component of the emergency response project activity is delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change to the lives of the beneficiaries;
• Referring cases to the nutrition camps for specific services established by Concern Worldwide to ensure that the Nutrition in Emergency Response Project activity is delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change to the lives of the beneficiaries;
• Sensitizing and mobilizing the community about the project and participate in the project activity of the Nutrition in Emergency Response Project activity so that it is delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change to the lives of the beneficiaries;
• Producing and maintaining records of the beneficiaries as member of the team, work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure community mobilization and referral;
• Contribute to the process of implementing quality programmes and accountability is conceptualized and effectively implemented throughout the project, and at the country programme level.
• Referring cases at nearest SAM center and Health center from camp for specific services established to ensure that the Nutrition in Emergency Response Project activity is delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change to the lives of the beneficiaries;
• Produce and maintain records of the beneficiaries as member of the team, work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure community mobilization and referral;
• Contribute to the process of implementing quality programmes and accountability is conceptualized and effectively implemented throughout the project, and at the country programme level

Job Requirements
• At least 3-5 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of community mobilization;
• Technical knowledge on community mobilization;
• Experience in working in NGOs and with teams;
• Have good knowledge on Rohingya Refugee programmes.
