Data Management Officer – Terre des hommes Foundation

Job Context
• Initially for 2 months with hope to expand for further period subject to Govt. approval.
• Desired date for taking-up duty: November 15, 2017

Job Description / Responsibility
• Study sources of information, tracking tools, and individual program information needs
• Work with the CP Manager and CP Coordinator to develop and maintain a user-friendly interface for the database;
• Develop, test and validate a database system that will act as an online internal reporting system
• Gather all relevant data currently located in different databases/software programs and ensure accurate inputting of data archive from various sources into the database;
• Being in charge of managing the beneficiary database of all Child Protection program. Ensure that database integrity is maintained in line with data management protocols and reporting requirements.
• Develop training package for Tdh staff on the use of the database;
• Develop and maintain documentation database/design documentation and operating manual on use of the database and mobile survey tools
• Continuous mapping of current interventions achievements and sector actors per region
• Create databank of needs assessments and available secondary relevant data
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the work.
• Be the primary staff responsible for consistent and timely entry of data. S/he will establish data entry workload according to work plans
• Be responsible for data entry and review data quality. S/he will be responsible for all database updates upon completion of activities
• Visit the field when needed in order to collect specific information needed for development of the data base
• Represent Tdh in field base multi agency and overall interagency working group where appropriate;
• Participate in the planning of new project proposals and in the implementation of assessment for new projects based on the strategy approved by the Coordinator.
• Any other task relevant to the position asked by the line manager.

• Masters in Statistics, Social Science
• Knowledge in data management software

Experience Requirements
• 2 to 3 year(s)

Job Requirements
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in the similar job with INGO focusing:
• Health Data Analysis/Management
• Statistics
• Public Health (Epidemiology)
• Strong working knowledge in MS Word, Excel and data management software
• Ability to adopt to changes
• Good communication skills
• Excellent language skills both English, Bengali and Chittagong local
• Experience in event/training management
