Deputy Manager – Child Protection for Rohingya Response – Save the Children

Job Context
• Save the Children invites applications for the following positions under an urgent response program to recent Rohingya Crisis in Bangladesh. We are working in different locations in Cox`s Bazar, providing vital services to displaced Rohingya peoples, including distributing the food, shelter, water & sanitation, education, health, nutrition, and child protection needs of the Rohingya refugees, particularly of the children. As a part of this initiative, we are hiring staff on urgent basis who can start their work in 48 hours notice time.

• Job nature: Contractual up to December 2017

Job Description / Responsibility
• This position is mainly responsible for providing support to the Manager for assessment, response analysis, design, coordination, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of the child protection components of the Rohingya response.
• S/he will provide support to the team to develop CFS (Child-Friendly Space) plan and also ensure documentation of all events, lessons learned, and document good practices.
• S/he will ensure and create recreational materials for CFS for children & adolescent, identify most traumatized children with the support of the Counselor and provide counseling support including psychological first aid, as well as coordinate & facilitate meetings/representation/ and liaison as and when required.

Educational Requirements
Masters Degree, preferably in Social Sciences or related discipline.

Experience Requirements
• 4 to 5 year(s)

Job Requirements
• At least 4-5 years experience in relevant field, demonstrated experience and capacity to undertake the Child Protection programs, especially in emergency response.
• S/he is expected to have sound knowledge of recent Rohingya situation of the country, experience in project management, basic knowledge about budget management, ability to conduct training.
