Chemonics seeks a director of quality assurance and quality improvement for the USAID Advancing Universal Health Coverage (AUHC) project in Bangladesh. The project aims to advance universal health coverage through the establishment of a sustainable pro-poor social enterprise. The director of quality assurance and quality improvement will lead the project’s efforts to improve the quality of care offered in 399 Surjer Hashi Network clinics. In addition, reporting to the incubator director, the director will serve as a member of the AUHC senior management team, assisting the chief of party and other senior staff members; ensure that the quality of care and patient satisfaction are maintained at a high level at associated project clinics; and supervise a team of regional quality staff who will in turn provide support to staff working in the Surjer Hashi Network clinics. Responsibilities include:

Oversee quality of care and patient satisfaction
Supervise field-based quality assurance teams
Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement and quality assurance per national and international standards of care
Manage teams to design an approach to quality improvement to ensure clinics meet the required criteria to join the Surjer Hashi Network
Support routine training to ensure all Surjer Hashi Network staff are aware of and follow standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

M.D., M.B.B.S, or R.N. degree; or an advanced degree in public health, social science, or other relevant field
Minimum 10 years of experience on quality improvement for clinical service delivery, including five years working with the delivery of private sector health services
Knowledge of and experience working with private sector quality initiatives
Proven success managing teams that deliver targeted results
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Experience working in South Asia required; experience in Bangladesh preferred​
Fluent English
