Job Description / Responsibility
Is responsible for determining the number of personnel for which food should be prepared for lunch and dinner on a daily basis;
Is responsible for requesting and receiving cash advances for purchasing food on a daily basis;
Is responsible for ensuring that sufficient food is bought for all expat personnel and visitors;
Is responsible for purchasing goods on a daily basis in co-ordination with Logistics team;
Is responsible for ensuring that payment is accurate and checking the correctness of the receipts;
Is responsible for overseeing the stock for water, tea, coffee, sugar and also hygiene materials etc. and informing the designated authority in time in order for replenishment of the stock;
Is responsible for preparing and cooking lunch and dinner, if requested, breakfast under hygienic conditions;
Is responsible for providing a variety of fresh and tasty food and paying attention to its presentation;
Is responsible for washing hands before starting cooking and often throughout the day;
Is responsible for cleaning the kitchen floor, bench tiles and gas cooker on a daily basis, cleaning the kitchen shelving, walls and window weekly and cleaning kitchen extraction fan monthly;
Is responsible for collecting, washing and drying plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses used during meals;

Experience Requirements

Additional Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position in any INGO or NGO or in High quality Hotel.Basic understanding of spoken and written English is preferable.
Excellent understanding of local languages preferred
Ability to have good skill and experience in foreign dishes/menu.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
Ability to be flexible in taking up tasks outside of regular job responsibilities as required;
Aware of hygiene and the importance of hygiene when preparing food;
Knowledge of a wide range of dishes, including (non)vegetarian, main courses, salads, fruits, snacks, etc;
Highly trustworthy;
Ability to respect the confidentiality of information.
Knowledge to use of Kitchen utensils.
