Job Description / Responsibility
Position Description:
BLAST is currently searching for a Fund Development Adviser who will be responsible for advising on the fund development functions of the organization, including the identification, management and retention of donors or supporters from the corporate and private sector and grant-making foundations. S/He will also be responsible for developing proposals and engaging with 8 to 10 corporate/ private sector organisations on behalf of BLAST, supported by BLAST’s fund development team, to seek out funding sources for specific areas of BLAST’s work.
Position Responsibilities:
Identification and Management of Fund Sources
Identifying funding sources, including corporate donors, individuals and grant making /philanthropic bodies;
Developing a database of donor contacts, preference information and action points
Researching and developing targeted proposals for the funding sources whose criteria match BLAST’s aims and activities;
Approaching the identified funding sources and engaging in discussions with them based on the proposals to seek funding for specific areas of BLAST’s work;
Ensuring all fundraising communications carry a consistent and mission-compliant message that could be disseminated across all channels of communication, including social media, publications, print media, and email lists;
Writing and managing mail-shots, and developing promotional materials, including postcards/leaflets, publications, etc.; and
If required, organizing and managing volunteers/interns to carry out various functions within the organization related to fund-raising
Reporting and Analysis
Monitoring, analyzing, evaluating and reporting on effectiveness of fundraising activities to the Executive Director, and Senior Management
Working closely with the Finance and Administration departments regarding gaps in budgeting, future planning and contribution to the organization’s wider planning process

Educational Requirements
Bachelor/Masters degree in any discipline

Experience Requirements
At least 5 year(s)

Ability to work autonomously as well as in team, take initiative, manage priorities
Ability to optimize teamwork, learning and efficiency
Proficient in MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint, and other data processing software
Fluent in English and Bangla
