Job Description / Responsibility
Leadership: CKP Bangladesh total associate strength is about 500. This position requires strong leadership qualities for leading, motivating, developing, collaborating between different functions [ IT, HR, Finance] and mentoring team of this size.
Financial: In partnership with the Finance and Senior Operations management, create the Budget and Annual Operating Plan to satisfy capacity and service requirements. Manage day to day operations to meet and exceed budgeted financial performance with detailed analysis and actions for revenues, margins, cost and inventory control. To continuously seek opportunities for enhanced profitability with the appropriate service levels and improvement of working capital rations.
Manufacturing: Identify and creates a strategic manufacturing plan, provides expertise, resources and collaborate closely with all the label manufacturing activities. Coordinates the flow between the different manufacturing units. Creates and implements the streamlining initiatives of the acquired operations.
Quality: Create and implement a Quality strategy, including design for 6 sigma and specific 6 sigma projects that will result in the on going growth and profitability of the business including establishment of goals and key performance indicators
Strategic Sourcing: Identify and create strategic sourcing plans based on ALS competitive needs. Build relationships with vendors using world-class practices that will best serve the customers needs.
Executive communications: Interface with Supply Chain, R&D, Strategic Sourcing and Product Management, in order to guide and lead production activities. The General Manager Operations, ALS must communicate up and down the CKP organization to keep team members updated and to garner critical support whenever needed.
Customer Management : In partnership with Sales and Customer service management, ensure that all Standard Lead time Agreements are adhered to. Collaborate with customer management team to create winning sales strategies, especially for open nomination business.
Resolve ethics crisis, which may occur in the working environment.
Responsible for all compliances and audits of different retailers.
Required to interact with the local statutory agencies like UNION representatives.
Interact with the offices and Buyers of European and US Customers
Liaison with the top 20 % of the customers

Direct experience and strong track record in Manufacturing Best Practices, International Management, Six Sigma, Procurement and Material Management and Process Management; good familiarity with IT & ERP systems;
Must have strong strategic thinking and operational acting capability with a demonstrated ability to develop strategies to achieve key business goals.
Multi process, multi site industry related manufacturing experience
Full P&L account responsibility with proven track record for profit improvement and margin enhancement
Demonstrated experience of improvement in plant utilisation and staff efficiency
Product management experience, design for 6 sigma and 6 sigma exerience
IT experience preferred
Creates positive energy and a sense of urgency in others for achieving targeted results by engaging employees in a way that creates a passion for the business.
Believer in people skill enhancement on a continuous basis .
Must be change agent, process orientated and good in developing and executing new systems and process.
Knowledge in lean manufacturing and structured problem solving tools/techniques to ensure continuous improvement.
