General Manager (Plant) – Mymensingh – Index Agro Industries Ltd

Job Description / Responsibility
• Supervise the production and to ensure manufacturing procedure to confirm the high standard of quality products to meet the customer requirements and total satisfaction.
• Determine KPI, objective and follow up progress completing with the strategic target and mission of the Company.
• Ensure timely production, monitoring quality products and ensure delivery as per schedule.
• Streamlining the products with the assessment of profitability and focusing attention on the profitable products.
• Ensure proper security and safety of men, material and machine of the plant.
• Manpower planning to support the operation.
• Planning to optimise the resource available and to avoid unnecessary energy consumption.
• Prepare and submit Quarterly and annual budget plan for Capital Machineries, Raw Materials and other expenses in support to sales and production plan and future growth of the plant in consultation with top the management.
• Review all daily usage, inventory and investigate all discrepancies and variance.
• To supervise receipt of all new materials with proper inventory procedure.
• Learn and understand the flow of all materials, incoming and out-going, and the standard operating procedures of all areas of the Feed mill. Must be able to operate all areas of the feed mill, hatchery and completely understand Automation system.
• Ensure standard operating procedure and Compliance.
• Ensure total workflow system to follow the method of standardization to ensure highest productivity and decries process cost.
• To measure and suggest for improvement of total method of production, usage of equipment to ensure optimum output of process.
• Maintain collaborative working relationship with supervisors, peers, subordinates, internal customers and external customers.
• Prepare, suggest and recommend training, tools and various operational guidelines to enhance skill and competency of all employee time to time.
• Coordinate and ensure the required manpower for smooth operation in all plants.
• Support in making the decision of purchase RM, premixes and spare parts.
• Reporting and delegate information and submission of the routine and operational reports and plans to the management.
• Compilation of the daily reports for MD’s reference. Reports-feed-production, Dispatch, QC, Spares parts, received RM, RM consumed, Stock statements, Labor cost, electricity, gas/diesel daily consumption. Financial reports like debtors, creditors, Dispatch order to the factory with the authorization of the finance department on daily basis.
• Following different reporting systems and summarizing them for MD’s information.

Educational Requirements
• B. Sc/ M. Sc in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering from any recognized university;
• MBA/ Master’s from general education (10 years of industry experience is required).
• Highly experienced Mechanical & Electrical diploma engineers are also encouraged to apply.

Experience Requirements
• At least 8 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Production, Quality Controller /Assurance, Farm Management
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Textile, Pharmaceuticals

Additional Job Requirements
• Age 30 to 50 year(s)
• Only males are allowed to apply.
• Experience in managing feed mill (broiler plant, layer plant , fish plant)
• Knowledge on MS Excel, Power Point.
