Head of Digital Devices & New Business – Dhaka – Grameenphone Ltd

Job Description / Responsibility
• Own and drive Internet for all ambitions by engaging and inspiring other commercial functions, technology, regulatory and Management
• Define the strategy for the Digital, Devices and New Business domain in collaboration with respective stakeholders across Grameenphone.
• Owning Grameenphone digital strategy to bring in relevant products and services to stimulate usage and revenue growth
• Leading the implementation and execution of the strategic initiatives together with IT, network, finance, regulatory and other relevant departments at Grameenphone
• Building up right partnership both in global and local markets so that we have win-win situation to secure monetization
• Drive mobile for development projects like mHealth, m-edu. m-agri etc through right partnerships
• Own and execute on Digital channel strategy i.e. eCare (both web and app) and eCommerce with mobile first mindset and taking social channels with high importance.
• Drive the online adoption within the country by empowering Grameephone customers to engage and interact with digital channels.
• Continuously improve online customer and user experience across all digital touch points to improve conversion and ROI
• Identify and evaluate business inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior in order to drive margins and cost efficiencies
• Improve and increase the Social channel management and engagement
• Drive digital adoption in the overall organization, integrating digital with the business strategy and the MAP/SMART processes within marketing
• Work with marketing and wider business functions to ensure continuity across all digital & customer touch points
• Carry out online marketing projects including SEO and analysis
• Ensure right approach in CAPEX/OPEX prioritization, business planning and review processes and leading the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan
• Leading the use of project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans and to cost, resource and manage projects
• Developing digital capabilities to deliver on digital distribution ambitions and seamless customer experience in all touch points for searching, sales and service
• Organizational development – Contribute to learning in the organization. Support other teams in Grameenphone to adopt a digital way of working and cultural change
• Responsible for building up the needed organization to deliver on customer expectations through executing on the digital roadmap
• Attract and develop talented digital individuals to shape a high performing digital and new business team. Coach, mentor and inspire team members in their daily work and expose them to new experiences and develop their skillsets.
• Lead the team to formulate and document business requirements and help in identifying, investigating, and analysing business processes, procedures and work practices
• Contributes to the development of overall Commercial Strategy and Business Plan and translate it into the Digital, Devices and New business strategy
• Participate and contribute as part of the Senior Leadership Team within Marketing / Commercial function and the wider business
• Driving delivery of key drivers (new customers, managing churn and retention, ARPU..) as well as revenue and EBITDA for these new business components.
• Leadership of the entire product lifecycle management of digital products and services.

Educational Requirements
• Relevant Professional Degree preferably from internationally recognized institute
• Post Graduate program from a reputed university

Experience Requirements
At least 12 year(s)

• You have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience (telecoms and digital business) of which a minimum of 4 years should be in digital marketing;
• You are a professional who demonstrates strong leadership and excellent team work across functions.
• You are experienced from a product side as well marketing and commercial
• You have experience working in a multinational environment and handling diverse teams
• You have strong ability to communicate and interact effectively across organization and cultural boundaries, Internal and External.
• You are capable of building and managing senior teams
• You possess solid understanding of relevant business processes and have financial skills (Business case analysis, Joint Venture set up etc)
