Job Context

• Contract Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension

Job Description / Responsibility
• JOB SUMMARY
• RI based both in the USA and UK, is urgently looking for Human Resource Officer to assist in recruitment and HR of its emergency response portfolio in Cox’s Bazar. The HR Officer will be based in the Cox’s Bazar office and will be responsible for overseeing recruitment and HR issues in Bangladesh. The HRO will directly report to the Team Leader with a “dotted line” to the Country Director.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Prepare and update HR Policy and ensure the effective implication of all HR related matters within the organization
• Maintain, retain and coordinate effective communication practices with all employees, arrange interviews, and solve any problems that may arise
• Monitor, review and implement policies and practices related to Employee welfare
• Prepare and update the salary state for increment or any other compensation management
• Prepare Appointment letters, interview schedules, meeting minutes, and be in charge of circulating various notices and instructions around the organizations as deemed necessary by the Country Director
• Communicate fluently with internal and external stakeholders in Bangla or English as required
• Arrange monthly meetings, prepare agenda, minutes and circulate within stipulated time
• Regularly liaise with relevant officials to ensure and confirm Bangladesh staff members’ compliance with RI global HR policies;
• Liaise with government agencies such as NGO Affairs Bureau as and when required
• Be in full picture of company affairs and take appropriate action through proper channel
• Knowledgeable about national and international labor laws;
• Assist international staff members, consultants and intern’s compliance with local labor laws and immigration policies;
• Assist RI Bangladesh national staffs to comply with local income tax laws and policies;
• Maintain and ensure that all the administration aspects of the company is being regulated strictly in systematic manner
• Implement various employee engagement initiatives such as staff retreat etc. to keep workforce motivated and with high morale
• Carry out other necessary administrative tasks as deemed important by the organization.

Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline

Experience Requirements
• At least 5 year(s)

Job Requirements
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Accounts, Finance
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, specifically emergency response
• Five years progressive experience in financial management and reporting of donor funded projects with any INGO/ NGO.
• Familiarity and experience in MS Excel, Quick books software etc. is preferable.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Local knowledge of Chittagonian required; knowledge of Rohingya an asset.
