MzN | International is a social enterprise providing consultancy to actors in the humanitarian and development sector. DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
In the period 2015-2017 MzN International will implement the CONTEXT Humanitarian Staff Development Project in Bangladesh, partly funded by DFID and the START Network. The project is aimed at capacity building of national staff of NGOs, civil society representatives and government officials working in humanitarian and emergency response. CONTEXT consists of two training programmes: the Core Skills Development Programme and the Management & Leadership Skills Development Programme. Both programmes are centred around two four-day workshops, with coaching, E-learning and self-study provided in the interim period. MzN International is looking for suitable candidates to help promote the training in Bangladesh and to co-facilitate the workshops with facilitators already on the MzN CONTEXT Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Co-facilitate the workshops for the Core Skills Development Programme and the Management and Leaderships Skills Development Programme (5 workshops between October and December 2015)
Promotion and outreach of the programme (specifically for Cohorts 4 and 5 starting in November 2015)
Management of application process and candidate selection
Ongoing Support and communication with participants
Assist in the ongoing development of the Context training materials
Provide logistical and coordination support for the training events
Assist in monitoring and evaluating the Context Programme
Assist MzN International in broadening its (I)NGO, civil society, UN Agency, and (local) government network in Bangladesh
Support Financial and Narrative reporting
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
At least five years’ experience working for the humanitarian sector or in disaster/emergency response
Proven experience in facilitation of workshops on disaster/emergency response, humanitarian skills, management and leadership skills, local capacity building or Project Cycle Management
Maturity in networking at senior level with (I)NGOs and (local) government
Working-level proficiency in spoken and written English, Bengali is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal skills, open and engaging
A self-starter, prepared to work out-of-hours and to tight deadlines

Certified Coach
