Health Specialist – Dnet – Dhaka

Job Responsibilities
Support the formulation of strategy for program development in health sector
Good understanding of ICT for Health sector in Bangladesh
Work with the R&D team to develop innovative projects/ services/ solutions in the space of digital health
Participate in user-centric research efforts for identifying requirements for digital health interventions
Share domain knowledge to plan and design exploratory, formative and summative research activities/ interventions within the scopes of health sector projects
Contribute in writing project learning documents, annual reports and prepare presentations, monitoring tools/checklists to assess program activities with timelines and milestones
Contribute to suite of communication materials, including conference presentations, articles, and health promotions
Maintaining close collaboration, coordination and liaison with relevant national and global institutions
Keeping up to date with recent health needs, innovations and success
As job vacancy announcements cannot be exhaustive, the Health Specialist may be required to undertake

Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
Master’s in Public Health (MPH)/ Health informatics will be of added advantage
Different disciplines are welcome to apply if they have proven working experience in health sector projects

Experience Requirements
At least 5 year(s)
The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
concept note development, Digital health, NGO ( Health), public health

Additional Requirements
Prior experience to work with digital health interventions or any EMR/ EHR systems (for example, OpenMRS/ Bahmni/ GnuHealth etc.) or Govt. Health Systems like SHR or eMIS or DHIS2 will be considered as a plus
Experience in developing concept notes on technology based interventions would be an added advantage.
Capable to design and develop execution plan and strategy for the technology integrated health projects in Bangladesh
Understanding of innovative solutions, especially in the area of Digital Health, targeting behavioral change communication, data management, digitization, service delivery, capacity building etc.
In-depth understanding of the health sector, including government and non-government initiatives, in Bangladesh
Strong writing skills and experience in preparing learning documents, case study, and event report
Flexibility to attend regular meetings with donors including Government
Occasional field visits outside of Dhaka may be required
