Job Description / Responsibility
• Plan, organize and direct work with transport department in order to ensure smooth functioning of the Department with the most efficient use of resources
• Continual improvement of technical aspect in relation to smooth transport operation
• Administer operations, repair maintenance of around 175 vehicles at HO and BLCs. In addition repair maintenance of around 115 vehicles of sister concerns and Aarong
• Develop specification of vehicles required for Transport Department and other sister concerns
• Act as a member of Tender Opening(TOC) and Tender Evaluation Committee (TEC) for purchasing vehicles and spares
• Develop policy and procedures of operations and maintenance of vehicles with setting standard
• Ensure quality repair and vehicle maintenance through own workshop of around 300 vehicles
• Inventory management- Provisioning of quality spares for easy and smooth maintenance of vehicles analyzing consumption rate, trends etc
• Prepare agreement with distributors/suppliers /workshops for spares/materials and carrying out repair/maintenance works
• Prepare agreement with CNG and fuel(Octane and Diesel) filling stations
• Ensure efficient vehicle use for pick and drop of staff and others duties at Head Office & Field Office and transportation of goods of programmes against requisitions
• Ensure compliance and safety of vehicles
• Analyze requirement and replacement of vehicles and place requisition for vehicles
• Plan disposal of damaged/old vehicles, spares and materials
• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize use of equipment
• Ensure management information system(MIS), tracking of vehicles etc
• Prepare budget of the department and budgetary control

Educational Requirements
Masters / MBA with concentration of Management/ HRM/ Social Science or B.Sc. Engineering Mechanical/Automobile from any recognised university/ institution will be given preference.

Additional Job Requirements
• Age At most 45 year(s)
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in motoring vehicle fleet management including maintenance of a large fleet of vehicles.
• Any professional degree/ advanced training on Fleet Management is preferred
