Job Description / Responsibility
A multinational company (Dignity Textile Mills Ltd) is looking for some energetic personnel in the above position:
To gauge transport requirements and devise cost effective and feasible transport plan for the company.
Improvise transportation solutions with existing fleet
Plan, organize and manage the work distribution, maintenance, repair and utilization of all the vehicle fleet of the area.
Coordinate the schedule for vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions and arrange on time service plans.
Maintain inventory and perform daily checks.
To monitor and control pick-up and delivery of goods as per the set route and schedule deliveries in a cost efficient manner.
Maintain logs for distance travelled by each vehicle.
Must manage and educate the driving staff to road safety, especially in heavy traffic or in bad weather and safety of passengers
Monitor spending to ensure the expenses are consistent with approved budgets
Direct and coordinate for the activities of operations department in order to obtain use of equipment, facilities, and human resources
Transport officer may also be required to carry out any other tasks such as arranging safe parking of vehicles, to oversee that all licenses and permits are renewed on time and ensure vehicles are road worthy at any time.

Additional Job Requirements
5-7 years work experience in Textile Industry will be given preference.
Candidate stayed at Gazipur, Mymmensigh will be given preference
Must possess a valid driving license and capable of driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Sound knowledge about vehicles
Capable to provide quick solutions & improvise upon existing ones
Capable of working for long hours and handling odd situations
Possess good management, inventory and communication skills
Responsiblefor filing reports in case of accidents and delays.
Possess excellent understanding, written and oral communication in English.
Committed, independent & self driven.
Ability to work under pressure.
